Aqualaps is off to a great start  - we are at 20% of our pledge goal with 6 weeks to go.

PLEDGE COLLECTORS ARE AT THE POOLS!
Pledge collectors are at both pools Monday - Thursday from now until May 5.  Try to turn in some pledges each week. Swimmers who turn in pledges will be appreciated with a weekly prize draw!

FUNDRAISING TABLES at Fred Meyers, the Wharf, A&P, and Safeway
Swimmers have the opportunity to staff a GSC table on the weekends to ask the public for pledges.  Table sign-ups are posted at the pool.  This is a great way to get a lot of pledges in a short time.  Spaces are limited.  Please remember to let the coordinator know if you will be unable to use the time slot you have signed up for so it can be filled by someone else.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP UPDATE
 The Corporate Sponsor Drive is well underway!  Many families have identified business to approach to ask for corporate sponsorship. To date, more than $7,000 worth of corporate donor pledges have arrived already!

There are still many businesses in town that have not been claimed.  Who should you approach? Your hairdresser, doctor, a store where you do business, your employer, or anywhere else you think would be supportive of our swimming program.

Remember, the first $1,000 in corporate sponsor pledges counts toward your aqualap pledges.

She will verify that your business is available and provide you with the information that you need to contact them.  Happy fundraising!

REMINDER - NEW PLEDGE COLLECTION INFORMATION
1)Date Changes - Aqualaps will only run EIGHT weeks this year. March 11 to May 5.
2) No Billing - Swimmers MUST collect donations up front.  WE WILL NOT SEND OUT BILLS THIS YEAR!!!
3) Pledging by Credit Card Online - If a donor wants to pay by credit card they can go to the GSC web page at  www.gsc-swim.org and direct the donation to you.  This may be especially helpful for out-of-town friends and family members-- or anyone who would like to pledge using a credit card.
