Augustus G. Brown Swimming Pool

Located at 1619 Glacier Avenue, the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool is a division of Juneau Parks and Recreation. Juneau Parks and Recreation welcomes suggestions and comments regarding the swimming pool. There are two pools at the Augustus Brown facility. The larger pool, for lap swimming, is 75 feet by 45 feet and is maintained at 82 degrees. The smaller pool, for lessons and recreational swimming, is 35 feet by 45 feet and is maintained at 90 degrees. There is also a dry sauna and weight equipment. We offer a variety of programs to better serve you.

The Augustus Brown Swimming Pool is now offering a Special Needs/Family Changing Room. This room is for families who have mixed sexes i.e.: mothers and sons, fathers and daughters, and individuals with special needs who have aides of the opposite sex. Locker keys may be obtained at the front counter. If you have any questions please feel free to ask pool staff.
